To be truly happy and content.

We all aspire to that elusive goal but very few succeed.

In my view the reason for that is that we do not know what we want. We also do not know what is important.

We brandish words like love, money, possessions as if we know what it is.

We rush into and out of love in the blink of an eye. We make and spend money like there is no tomorrow. We acquire possessions with no intrinsic value purely on other's perception of our own self worth.

This discussion that I would like to start revolves around three aspects of this goal.

  1. The acquisition of money demands respect.
  2. You should put all your talents, knowledge and concentration in the making of money. Forget the idea of a career. Always see yourself as a money making enterprise even if the only job you can get is the tea girl. If you are a teacher, sell your skills to the best buyer. Improve your skills as you would improve any other facet of your enterprise.
  3. When you have made some money, the best thing you can buy is time. Time to spend as you wish. Time to experience life. Time to experience love.

I would like you to challenge me on these views or to even add to them.
